Catalytic combustion equipment has four major advantages

The core technology of catalytic combustion is the use of different catalysts on the selected catalyst, and the effects produced by different catalysts are very different. Currently, there are three main types of catalysts used in catalytic combustion: noble metal catalysts, composite oxide catalysts, and rare earth element catalysts.
One method utilizing the flammability of VOCs involves the complete combustion of industrially emitted VOCs under catalytic conditions, yielding CO2 and H2O to meet environmental requirements. Compared to direct combustion, catalytic combustion offers significantly better purification and requires much lower temperatures and processing times. However, combustion methods prevent the recovery of organic components from organic waste gases.
Compared to direct combustion, catalytic combustion has several key advantages:
(1) Due to the presence of a catalyst, catalytic combustion equipment significantly lowers the ignition temperature, typically ranging from 200 to 400 degrees Celsius. This greatly reduces energy consumption and NOx formation.
(2) Catalytic combustion equipment boasts high purification efficiency, exceeding 98%, and produces no secondary pollution.
(3) Catalytic combustion equipment can handle complex, low-concentration VOCs, including low concentrations of hydrocarbons, alcohols, and ketones.
(4) Catalytic combustion equipment features a simple process and safe operation.
The core technology of catalytic combustion lies in the chosen catalyst, with different catalysts yielding varying results. Currently, three main types of catalysts are used: noble metal catalysts, composite oxide catalysts, and rare earth element catalysts.
Future research and development in catalytic combustion will likely focus on catalyst research, with the development of highly efficient, cost-effective, and poison-resistant catalysts being crucial.
